Our hatchery's specialty is the
muscovy duck, commonly
known as the bird best suited
for the farm. Practically self-
sufficient, they are famous for
their ability and dexterity in
foraging for their own food to a
great extent. Equally well known
is their setting and brooding
ability.
These superior birds are widely
used for the incubation of rare
and difficult to hatch species,
where their excellent ability
produces a high hatchability
rate, and high percentages of
livability after hatching due to the high quality of the care the young receive from these intelligent birds. Another great aspect is that they are a 'no season' game bird, one that is legal to release on your property and hunt all year long. You can also use them to greatly reduce and control fly and insect populations on your farm and in your garden. They are basically mute, reducing problems with nearby neighbors.
