Chanteclers are an extremely rare breed that originated in Canada. They are known for their cold hardiness, good foraging availability, and good production of brown eggs. They have loose plumage, skin is yellow, & shanks are white, with small wattles & a cushion comb. They weigh from 6-8 pounds. The hens are good setters.

We are sold out of the Chantecler until spring 2010, and will ship them in February, March, and April. we usually sell out of them before February, it is a good idea to order before January for this breed.
